Somehow, amidst all the cold, sad and grey that is January, something amazing happened to me yesterday. Well not just me, me and 14 other food obsessed individuals to be exact. And when I say amazing I mean out-of-this-world-super-awesome-AMAZING! I was invited to experience a preview of Heaven. Foodie Heaven to be more specific. Like Disney for adults (with elevated palates), the City Brunch at the Langham Hotel is unlike anything else I’ve ever seen. Fondue fountains, hand-rolled sushi, fruit parfaits, fresh cheese, brioche french toast, eggs to order (with lobster!!) … and that’s barely making it past the first table. On any normal day it will cost you $52 to get into this infamous brunch, but if you’re invited by the Boston Brunchers it’ll cost you $free.
When I first heard the announcement that Boston Brunchers would be hosting their January event at the Langham Hotel’s City Brunch I was uber-excited. After looking at their menu for the first time, it literally rendered me speechless. Over three pages of delicious offerings covering breakfast, lunch and dinner items; you could easily spend an entire day there, storing up for the rest of winter. I myself took to eating the equivalent of 5 meals in a little over 2 hours. And because I’m still slightly brain dead from the heavily induced food coma, I’ll spare you my ramblings and show you why words really can’t do this fine meal justice.
The amount of drooling/eye-widening/weight gain/jealousy that is about to ensue may be detrimental to your health (both physical and mental), so proceed with caution, and don’t say I didn’t warn you…
