Food Porn Friday | Eggs Florentine with Hollandaise

For Easter my friends and I got together for a homemade brunch complete with Eggs Florentine, HOLLANDAISE, asparagus, BACON and mimosas. (Yes I only capitalize things that are bad for me.) We had never made poached eggs or hollandaise from scratch so we decided to try something new. We used Ina Garten’s Hollandaise recipe because, well, her book was available for easy reference and she uses a blender. That Barefoot Contessa knows what’s up! No rapid whisking here. The recipe easy and gave us time to prepare other stuff (notice the BACON and asparagus in the background). It took three of us, a minor splattered butter incident, and a little trial and error but I’m pretty sure the finished product was the best hollandaise Dorchester has ever seen. One for the good guys.
