Food Porn Friday | Red Sox Roll | Taipei Tokyo

Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope everyone had a fantastic day with family and friends, gorging on excessive amounts of turkey and all sorts of pumpkin flavored stuff.  This week’s post-Thanksgiving Food Porn is a little on the lighter side, seeing as you’re probably still sitting on the couch, immobile. Since moving to Davis Square, Taipei Tokyo is quickly becoming my go-to spot for satisfying my sushi cravings. The list of rolls is wildly extensive to say the least. I wish it was called the Spicy Girl Roll (which is in fact the name of one of their rolls, and one of my favorites at that) but it’ actually the Red Sox Roll. Inside you’ll find shrimp tempura, avocado and crabmeat, wrapped with pink soybean seaweed on the outside, drizzled with spicy sweet sauce and sprinkled with scallions and crunchies. Yes, crunchies. It’s pretty, it’s light and its seducing me as we speak.

My daughter loves sushi, she lives in Rome and often goes to the sushisen, which has lots of sushi rolls variations. Taipei Tokyo sounds great, I wish we had one here in Sicily. With all the fish we have, nobody thinks of opening a Japanese restaurant in Trapani. There are several in Catania and Palermo but not here in Trapani.
